Conferencing Guides
Attending conference calls is not always a high priority with the people you've invited. So to encourage attendance, below we have listed a few ways to ensure your audience want to join your next conference call.
Make it Fun - Don't simply drone on about your topic. Help to keep the audience's attention by making the conference enjoyable. Tell the odd joke, share something about life outside of work, ask questions. Anything to break up the flow of a meeting, will help people pay attention! If your meetings are more enjoyable, you'll have less trouble with absenteeism!
Guest Speakers - Invite a special guest or high-ranking member of your organisation to the meeting. Ask your guest to give an introduction to the meeting or answer questions before you get down to regular business. This strategy will help to jump-start to the discussion that follows. And be sure to tell all your invitee's about the opportunity to speak with your guest speaker.
Perform a Roll Call - People are far less likely to miss a call if they know it will be obvious to everyone else that they are absent. If you make a roll call part of every conference call, your attendees will know they absence will be noticed.
Remind your Audience - Why not send an email or text message to remind your callers about the forthcoming conference call. This way they have one less excuse for not attending.
Dial-Out to Attendees - Instead of waiting for attendees to dial-in, you can ask our Operator to dial-out to each participant inviting them to join the conference. This can be performed by an Operator as part of our Operator Assisted service.
