Java - Java is a computer language created and trademarked by Sun Microsystems. Because it can be used to create applets for browsers and because the name is so similar, it is often confused with JavaScript. However, the two are completely separate languages and are often used for very different purposes.
Java cam - A Java Cam is a Webcam that is setup using a script written in Java. The script is then encoded into the web page of the webcam. The cam images are upload in set time increments. That time increment can be intervals of 5 seconds to every 3 hours.
Java script - JavaScript is a scripting language initially designed for web browsers, but now runs on a variety of platforms. The word "Java" in the name is misleading because while the languages share some similarity in syntax, the "Java" language (owned by Sun Microsystems) is a completely separate language from "JavaScript" (initially created by Netscape, but not owned or standardized by any one company).
